1. i have a projector that runs "google tv", which shows a slideshow of static images when it goes idle.
2. the default images that it shows do not spark joy, so i set it up to display something else.
3. the only decent option i had for "something else" was an album from "google photos". but i don't make "google photos" albums, and i was not about to make one specifically for the projector (yak shaving, etc).
4. there is a "favorites" album that is automatically created from photos i have "favorited". this is not a feature i use often, but i apparently use it just enough for there to be some images in there. so i went with it.
5. now when the projector goes idle, i see a slideshow of Cool Picture, Funny Picture, and Good Book Picture and it actually slaps.

anyway the projector also just reminded me of something important to me that i'll post because it's my website and i do what i want. cool
