image uploads: not the next thing i needed
but when i saw topghost do images i could not help myself. nobody is wondering this but in my previous attempt, i had tried to send everything up in a tree all in one go, and my images were all showing up as base64 encoded strings? i tweaked what i had tried before to upload each attachment separately as a blob before constructing the tree, and that did the trick! probably i forgot to set an encoding somewhere in my previous attempt, idk, it works now so whatever!!
does li-cms support editing attachments on an existing post? no absolutely not. haha.
what i would like to do with li-cms:
- actually share it so other people can use it or fork it or take inspiration from it while building something way better. i am making this for Me but i know that other people could use such a thing! it is worth sharing!!!
- in order to do the above, i need to figure out how to make it a "package"? so someone could just drop a
<script>tag and<li-cms>into a github-backed static site generator template to start using it - setting up an example with eleventy base blog would be wise
- oh wow i was like "i also need to write a README..." and realized i can also embed some of that into the component itself? for making a github PAT and stuff. cool
features i would like for li-cms:
- drafts 😩 localstorage is fine
- editing posts with attachments
- better tag suggestion interface
and then there is the matter of my posts website where i want to explode the base CSS and start from scratch whoops. and support post shares!!! i miss that a bunch. it's important for bits
